Privacy Policy
Putts ยท last updated 24 September 2026
Putts does not collect, transmit or store any personal information. There is no account, no sign-in, and no analytics. Everything you record stays on your device.
What the app stores
Your rounds โ course names, dates, green speed, and the putts and distances you enter โ are saved locally on your iPhone. That data is never uploaded to the developer or to any third party. Deleting the app deletes it.
Location
When you start a round, Putts asks for your location once so it can list golf courses nearby and save you typing the name. That works by passing your approximate coordinates to Apple’s Maps search, which is part of iOS. Handling of that request is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.
- Your location is used at that moment and nothing more.
- It is not saved to your round, written to disk, or sent to the developer.
- Location is only requested while the app is open, never in the background.
- You can decline it and type the course name instead. Everything else works normally.
What the app does not do
- No analytics, crash reporting or usage tracking.
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
- No third-party SDKs of any kind.
- No accounts, email addresses or contact details.
- Nothing is sold or shared, because nothing is collected.
Children
Putts collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
